**Rocky Mount Police Department Acknowledged for Hurricane Relief Efforts**

ROCKY MOUNT, NC – This afternoon, the Rocky Mount Police Department hosted Josh Stein from the North Carolina Attorney General's office. Stein visited to express gratitude for the department's efforts in the western part of the state in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

Chief Robert Hassell highlighted the importance of the department's work during these difficult times. He stated, “Your unwavering dedication and compassion during these challenging times have not gone unnoticed. Your tireless efforts not only strengthen our community but also bring hope to those in need. Together, we are truly making a difference.” He also thanked Stein for his recognition of their hard work and support during this critical period.

The department extended its appreciation to all officers who contributed to the relief efforts in Newland, NC, and surrounding areas. Chief Hassell emphasized the commitment and resilience of the officers in the face of adversity and called for continued unity and support in rebuilding the community.
