Public Input Needed for N.E.W. Hazard Plan Update

Staff Report / RockyMountlocal.org

The N.E.W. Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update is seeking public input on changes in risks, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for mitigation in Nash, Edgecombe, and Wilson counties. This effort aims to create a comprehensive hazard mitigation plan that reviews and implements strategies to address potential problems effectively.

A virtual public meeting is scheduled for October 30 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Participants can register for the meeting through a QR code or at the link provided: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/8632769c-a153-4c6f-b4ad-8f4d8ba64395@3d234255-e20f-4205-88a5-9658a402999b.

During the meeting, attendees will learn about the update process, review identified hazards, and provide feedback to the planning team. Interested individuals can also share their input by completing a public survey available at https://www.new-hmp.com/.
